I was hesitant buying a new set, I am still using an old set from like the 70’s if you can believe that. These curlers heat up fast, and I threw in a couple after they heated up to see the curls. The four bigger ones are useless, they give a wave but not a curl by any means (that is why I gave it 4 stars). But the other three sizes work great (but now I am short 4 rollers).Now to address the clips not staying in that some reviewers say happen. This is true if you roll up, the clips will just slip out and the roller slides, but if you roll under (like the instructions show/say) they stay in quite well. I roll both ways but mostly over so this will be an adjustment.My pics are from my old a new set. I have super long hair that goes way past the middle of my back and I am not completely sold on these working for such long hair since twenty was barely enough to curl my hair and now I can only use 17.

When I bought these rollers I was so excited. They were the exact size that o was looking for. They heat up fast and stay hot for quite awhile. Here’s the problem. The clips to hold the rollers in your hair are too small. I have tried positioning in every way I can think of and most of the time the rollers still slip and fall out. So now I need to look and see if I can find bigger clips.

These rollers work wonders on my fine, shoulder length hair. They don’t curl my hair, but instead give it bounce and volume like I’ve never had before. I haven’t had big issues with the clips and find if I use metal clips first and then apply the plastic ones—they stay put. I highly recommend these for fine hair. I think coarser, thick hair might have issues with the clips.

The product itself is well made. As the Guru of hot rollers for as long as they are in existence, two things to know about these. First, they are super large (remember the old frozen oj cans we used?!!!) so there will be no curl. Your hair should be long (well past the shoulders, to see the benefit). Most importantly, the pins to hold the rollers in are A MAJOR FAIL. I read they were in reviews, but knew I can manage them as The Guru!! NO…they are flimsy, and do not work so you can’t use the rollers. Because of the size of roller, my assort of old clips don’t work,

Love it! Heats fast, clips hold hair firmly on curler (unlike those awful wire clips that have been standard for the last 10+ years that just fall out). Curls are soft, but long-lasting unless it rains. Don't know why they ask about "drying power--" these are meant to be used on dry hair. If you used them on wet hair, you would scald your scalp. I'm tempted to buy a second one as back-up in case they discontinue it because it is really worth buying.

Very disappointed and angry. I purchased these rollers in good faith via Amazon.com.au which turned out to be unsuitable ie the plug and wattage. These rollers are for use in America only. To purchase a transformer to convert it for use in Australia would cost hundreds of Australian dollars. :( To add insult to injury if I wanted to return it to Amazon it would have to go to Amazon Fulfillment Services in Las Vagas and would set me back over $70.00 Australian. Not happy with this. It was sent via Prime. As a senior to drive to one of the Amazon outlets is just not practical. How can Amazon Australia sell products that are not suitable for use in Australia. VERY DISAPPOINTING.
